Pagan Party

An early painting this, and a whole bunch of detailed close ups, reflecting some of my roots.
The Character in the middle is the god Pan,
not the Christian devil as many people think.
The image reflects the pleasure many people experiencewhen they join a special outdoor party,
where they often cross intothe realms of the spirit.
This pleasure has I believe has been unjustly demonised by our society.

While I'm not an out and out Pagan, I hold some modern Pagan beliefs, such as loving and respecting the earth we live on,
and I prefer the spiritual essence of the earlier era in Britain, before the Christians came along and ravaged our culture.
